My Date Night in Review

So, I realized it has been almost a week since we had our first date night and I never did let you know how it went!

We planned on my brother and SIL coming over at 6:00pm so we could make it to the 7:00pm showing of Iron Man 2. Well, we didn't make it to the one at 7. Due to the combination of me not being ready(not being on time is one of my bad habits. i am working on my punctuality!)and me having the need to explain everything way too many times( i said i was nervous, remember?). I am sure they were both thinking "would you please just shut the eff up and get out of here already!!" They were nice and didn't and 40 minutes later we finally made it out of there. We ended up making it in time for the 7:30 one but of course it was sold out, so we had to wait for the next one at 8:00.

I only texted them twice before the movie to see how she was doing( the hubby banned me from texting during the movie). I thought that was pretty good, seeing how this was the first time we left her! Of course she survived, they survived(they got lucky and she didn't poop!) and I survived! It was nice to get out and relax together. I am sooo looking forward to our next night out!!

Oh...I almost forgot!
I really liked the movie and that's not just because RDJ was so darn cute in it!

  2. Dinner and a movie has been our standard date-night since our oldest was born four years ago. In fact, this week when I booked a babysitter for Saturday night she asked "What are you guys doing, dinner and a movie?...Yeah, that's what I thought!"

It's so important to get out, though, and to make time for each other. I have a friend who is divorced and once told me she wished she and her ex had prioritized couple time as much as my husband and I do, and maybe things would have been different.

And leaving your little doll will get easier!
